Well, I suppose a guy can try the 'courage in a bottle' trick. He can get so hammered it may reduce some of sting when she bites down into his male ego. The problem with drinking is that your breath stinks and you end up sounding like an idiot. To approach an attractive female a guy has to have a clear head. That woman can smell fear 20 feet away! A woman reading this might say, "just be yourself." Bull crap. How can a guy "be himself" stepping up to a table of beautiful ladies and say, "want to dance?" Then watch them look at each other like, "Who wants to dance with this desperate weirdo trying to get a one night stand?" (I hate it when they blow my cover) It isn't that easy to "be yourself." What if I was a laid off postal worker with an attitude? See. It's just too risky to be discovered as a guy controlled by testosterone. Still, the hunt must go on.

I was living temporarily in California to do some service work. It was the Silicone Valley in San Jose. I don't think the silicone part had anything to do with computers. I was only going to be there for 6 months, and I didn't know anyone. I was bored and lonely. So I decided to dress up and go out to a popular cowboy bar. The place was full of people. The competition was high. Males outnumbered the women about 10 to 1. That is not good odds for a non-gangster, non-cowboy, and new kid on the block sort of guy. I had to really be on my game.

I was walking through this place and noticed a very attractive Latina woman. She had a knock out body and she knew how to flaunt her stuff. She was sitting on a stool looking half bored with the three other guys trying to get her attention. As I was walking by she smiled and gave me that 'I could eat you alive' kind of look. Well, I had to step over and introduce myself. I told her she was very pretty. She had an interesting and sexy accent. I thought maybe Brazilian or something. We had some small talk and I told her it would be nice to meet for dinner sometime. She said that would be nice. So we set up a dinner date the next night. We exchanged numbers and I left.

I was so excited to meet a cool friend and very cute. I got my cool mini-van all ready and cleaned up. I got my best cologne. Made dinner reservations. I was going to razzle-dazzle this little Silicone Valley honey. On my way to pick her up she calls me on my cell phone.

By now I'm starting to swerve all over the street. I had to pull over. "You're not a woman!!...Then what are you?"

By now my head is going into hyper retreat mode and shock. I think she sensed me losing interest. She said, "In a couple of weeks I am going to have my penis removed."

"Uhh.." I seriously had no idea what to say, but I won't forget what she said.

"Do you have a problem with that?" She asked me.

"Hell yes I have a problem with that! I can't believe this! Sorry. I am going to have to call this one off."

On my way home I thought, 'I should just go over there and kick her balls in. Save here some surgery expense.' Man, how gross. I suppose I should be grateful. At least she gave me some heads up before it was too late. (No pun intended)
