Process, in office cleaning context means that you go through each file one by one and categorize it according to: Do it - If it takes less than two minutes; Delegate it- If you're not the right person to do it, then send it to someone who can; or Defer it - If it takes more than two minutes to do, but it in your Action or Tickler file. Office cleaning which involves organizing involves trashing unnecessary items, recycling if necessary, or shredding it, if it is no longer needed but confidential.
Office cleaning review is the most important part of the system. You should do office cleaning review daily, weekly or monthly. All you need to do is to go through your filing cabinet and prune any files you do not think you will need again.
