Personal Mace Screecher Aerosol Alarm
In 2009 I left home to go to college in Connecticut, it was not that far but it was far enough for me. This was the first time I had ever lived away from my home and family.
Honestly, I never thought about self defense in my life, much less getting a personal safety alarm. It just never came up.
After going to all that my college had to offer in sports and also events that were close by such as NASCAR, my opinion on self defense products changed.
I was coming home from a hockey game late one night, past midnight, and there was a point where I had to walk three blocks to where my roommate waited for me with her friend who had the car and would take us home. Walk all by myself, that is.
As I started to walk a car full of guys pulled up and started "cat calling" me and trying to get me to get into the car with them. Luckily I had my Mace Sreecher aerosol personal alarm with me.
They sounded drunk and may have come from the same game that I was at. At first they were kind of funny but then the remarks got nastier and I started to fell uncomfortable. I tried the best I could to walk faster but I realized that I was coming up to a street that was not lighted well. I reached for my Mace Screecher and switched it on.
